After dominating the Southwestern Moundbuilders 73-3 on Nov. 8 at home, the Braves football team played their final 2008 season game at Sterling versus the Warriors on Nov. 15.
The outcome, however, was not what they had hoped for: a 17-13 loss, dropping the team to 20th in the national rankings, just short of making the playoffs.

The Ottawa University women's soccer team's season is over after a 1-0 loss in the KCAC conference finals to Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU) on Nov. 15.

On Friday, October 18, several boxing matches were held between MNU students in the basement of Lanpher residence hall. The fighting was witnessed by a large group of student onlookers.
