UMKC Provost Gail Hackett presented a new high-tech initiative to the Faculty Senate at its meeting on Aug. 18. It is called the "Decision Theater."
"Leo's [Interim Chancellor Morton] already off and running with it," Hackett said. "He'll probably have the money to build it before we've even finished talking about it.

Whether you love or hate Woody Allen, you have got to give the man credit: his work does not offer the run-of-the-mill Hollywood experience.
Part of that may be because the acclaimed writer and director has recently distanced himself from the Hollywood scene, preferring instead to shoot his films on foreign soil.

Music resonated from Land Gymnasium on Saturday evening.
The Sailor Sequence and Sleep.dreamer performed on the MNU campus on Saturday, Aug. 23 during Welcome Week. The concert, sponsored by ASG, helped unify the campus, and encouraged people to meet and interact with each other while listening to some local music.

A snack bar will soon be available to students on the MidAmerica Nazarene University campus.
The Landing, MNU's student lounge in Land Gym, underwent a major remodel over the summer, and the finishing touches are still in the works. Ron Jackson, new Associated Student Government advisor, said he and ASG cabinet members have been making plans for the improvements over the summer.
